Just a warning for the weak of stomaugh stop reading right here
Ok, we are sitting at the table well Donnie, Corrin, Kolette and I were after dinner. I had sent the boys to the tub. This is what I heard...
Ian: Connor do you want to smell my underwear? I just tooted and then pooped in them?(the pooping is what we call skid marks.)
I went in to talk to Ian. I only made it as far as the door and a quick peek before I had to leave or else my parental spiel was going to be interrupted by laughter(my own). I then went in and I picked up the underwear and explained what skid marks were. I also told Ian that was gross and not to say that.
Seriously that was not s/thing I had mentally planned for when I 2 boys. But I can see this is going to be quite the ride. I just have to say girls aren't that gross or at least I hope not.

Bravery tooth style
Just wanted to show off Ian's lovely toothy smile. Since he has always been so shy I have put off taking him into the dentist for his own appt b/c I wanted it to be positive. I made the appt w/o thinking about it being spring break and marked it on the calendar. I lined up a friend to watch the kids while I took him and on my way to her house I realized that I hadn't had my customary day before appt call. So I called and they didn't even have an appt down for him. I told her that we did b/c I wrote it on the calendar and the calendar never lies of course I didn't tell her that. She called me back 2 more times until I told her I wasn't trying to be a pain but that I had lined up the kids w/someone to watch them and that my son was shy and he actually wanted to go in even knowing the kids were at his friends house. So I decided that I would just camp out in their office. It worked esp when they saw Ian's face it is alot harder to turn away a cute boy than his pushy mommy. So anyway we had to wait about a half hour and then we were in. The hygenist was great and talked him thru it all and he watched in fascination. He did everything she told him it was great. I am so glad he got to go in. He has to go back next week to see the dentist since his dentist just had a new baby or rather his wife did. Priorities right where they belong. I am so thrilled it went so great. Maybe school won't be such a rough go like I thought. But did Ian really have to grow up overnight like he has? My baby boy is growing up.

Flipping the bird!
We were outside talking yesterday and Donnie said s/thing about flipping the bird. He was talking about s/thing and Corrin heard. I said you know what that is don't you? Corrin says "Yea!" and then she shows me how to flip the bird. She connected her thumbs together and waved the rest of her fingers. Hence flipping the bird...

more love stuff...
A week ago we had the "I love you do you love me?" issue w/Connor. Well I told Ian that we don't kiss girls other than our mom or sisters. He looks at me and says "I know, but I would let Marlie kiss me!" I looked at him in shock and said "No" and he said w/a sheepish grin "It was just a joke".
Ok, I am not that stupid but he sure thinks so. What am I going to do that boy only seems to pick girls for friends and the bossier they are the better. Maybe it is all a ploy for him to get kisses. We will see what Kindergarten brings.

Bowling fun and more
Today was a fun day for the kids. My friend went out of town and asked if her son aka Connor's best friend could stay the night tonite and play tomorrow. No problem and of course it made Connor's day as well. We decided to take the kids bowling so I asked if one of Corrin's friends could come as well. So we all went bowling. Amazingly enough this is the first time the kids other than Corrin have bowled. Now that they are smoke free I felt good about going. They had a blast. Now if only I could always bowl w/o the worry of a gutter ball. But if I could use that little thing that you place your ball on and roll it down then it would really impove my score. They were hallarious! We then went to ice cream and now the sugar high is preventing them from going to sleep. Think Amy think sugar before bed duh! Don't they teach that in Parenting for dummies? That only keeps them awake for much longer and then they will wake up too early in the morn. Then their moms will want to kill me. But they are all great kids and a joy to have over so life is good... Not to mention that spring break is here and the sun was out and we even got a bit sunburned on our necks. Spring! Spring! Spring!!!!

My long awaited blessing
It took us 3 years to get pregnant w/Corrin and she was worth every worry and tear I cried in the process it took to get her. She is such a wonderful blessing in my life. I am so very thankful that God blessed me w/her as my daughter. I am so proud of her and the young lady she is becoming. She is so kind, respectful and very motherly to her siblings. She blesses me daily just by being her. I am thankful for who she is and how she stands up for what is right. My sweet sunshine!

Soccer Madness....
Today was the first day for soccer games. Corrin was at noon and Connor was at 1. Crazy to have to rush from one game to the next but thankfully they made all the games at separate times except for one and I get to take the younger on that day. Yea me! I think not. I love to have Donnie coach and make all the decisions but I don't want to really be in that role. I like to be the mom w/an opinion on the sidelines and making the copies w/the highlights so the other moms know when the games are and the snack scheduler. That is my comfort zone but knowing where to put kids for them to play their best not so much my thing. Thankfully the parents are pretty good about it. I will just say having an all girls team means drama and that is not my thing either. Unfortunatly one girl is the source of all the drama but wow can she put up a loud whine/fuss. Grrr... Therefore Donnie gets the dramatic team and I will take the other team that one day.
We went and watched a game after our kids played w/my favorite twins. They used to play for Donnie for a long time and it was fun to see them play again. But the game seemed so extremely long since it was 90 min vs our much much shorter games. Anyhow the madness has begun but I look forward to seeing them and hope to keep my sanity in the process... There is always hope.

I love you do you love me?
First off I would like to turn the clock back to when my kids were still all home w/me and innocent! I hate that they are getting big enough to deal w/all the emotional issues of boys and girls. Corrin has had a boy who likes her bugging her alot lately. He bugged her some when she was in 1st but they weren't in the same class so it was harder for him to have contact w/her. Now she has had him in her class for 2 yrs. He lays on her, pinches her, shakes her and generally won't stop touching her! Aaahhhh!!! Leave my baby alone. I hate that my sweet little girl has to be tough so he will get the point. I never thought I would have to tell her"Don't step on the foot it doesn't hurt as much as the shins" "If he really won't quit it you know where to kick him don't you?" "Make sure when you hurt him you say loudly DON'T TOUCH ME!" Honestly it is really hard when I go in her class to help and I see that boy to not get in his face and say "Leave Corrin alone do you understand me?" but I resist and hope he will just quit.
Now onto Connor. He is a very sweet boy and friendly to everyone. Now he has already picked out his wife and her name is Brooke. She is a very sweet little girl who lives in Tennessee. So she is safe from being a girlfriend. Yea! But our new neighbor girl invited our family to her sisters b-day party. She gave the invite to me so I felt a little obligated. Things go so busy I didn't think we could make it till Kolette cried that we weren't going to a party. So we go. Trinity follows Connor around and I thought nothing about it. But then I hear her mom say "We don't say that it is ok to like him but don't tell him you love him" Then she comes over to me and says that she told Connor "I Love you do you love me?" Luckily Connor acted like a guy and acted like he was deaf or couldn't hear her.
So when we get home I tell him "You understand we aren't going to play the I love you game right?"
He says very defensively "I didn't!"
He then says " But Trinity REALLY loves me and so does Summer"
I told him he was very lovable but lets just be friends w/girls it is more fun that way.
So then I take Connor to Ontario to get cleats that fit for soccer. I ask him about Trinity and Summer and he says "Summer almost kissed me and she always makes kissy faces at me." I asked what he does and he says when they act that way he just "Moves away" I told him "Good boy"
My babies are growing up and I am not ready at all. Ian starts school this fall and all he ever chooses for friends seem to be girls. What am I going to do then????????

Monday Monday la la la...
The beginning to a busy week. Went to the Chriopractor today and after throwing my back into pain 3 weeks ago I am feeling now like a human. Took Ian w/me and he was a perfect angel. The other little sunshine went to Joyschool. Made it so much easier. Told Ian to take s/thing to play w/and he took a lock, key and mini tape measurer. How easy can you get? Kolette would have HAD to touch everything and ask why couldn't she touch everything to the point I would need a massage from the stress of not relaxing when he is trying to crack me.
But my exciting and super cute news is Kolette started Ballet today. She was so cute and just loved it. Considering it was an hour long she paid very good attention. However having one of her favorite friends there Gracie made her slightly distracted. But what fun is anything if you don't have a good girlfriend to hold your hand? At one point the teacher asked them to line up. Now Gracie and Kolette are only 7 months apart but Gracie comes from tall genes and she is as tall as Connor. So Kolette is behind Gracie and holding her around the tummy which is shoulder level for Kolette and Gracie is reaching behind her to hold Kolette around the back. I took a pic on my camera phone and if I could figure out how to get it on my computer I would post it. Help Tiff I know you are a genius at this stuff. Anyhow it was so much fun to see her doing s/thing that was just for her. She had so much fun.
Now for sleep since the rest of my week will be hectic.

I'm gonna teach Papa some manners
We were sitting at dinner and Ian burped. He smiles sheepishly and says excuse me. This is the conversation that follows.
Ian: Papa doesn't say excuse me when he burps. I am going to teach him to say excuse me. He needs to learn his manners.
Connor: Papa knows his manners he just doesn't use them
Kids you never know what will come out next...

Thursdays with Amy?
This is a cute idea I stole from Tiffani over at http://stillseekingsanity.blogspot.com who stole it from s/one else named Tiffany. My problem I don't have a name that starts w/a T. I will have to give it some thought and maybe I will find one. Anyway it is called "Thursdays with Amy" in my case.
I am thankful for my sweet Donnie who as 2 of my kids took turns throwing up last night he was there to help me out. I am also thankful for the shampooer I still have at my house to quickly clean up the mess that hit the floor. I am thankful no one has thrown up since last night.
I am listening to Kolette sing and Connor watch TV and my radio that is on upstairs that I forgot to turn off. Oops...
I am looking forward to soccer. I love to watch the kids play and have fun. I love watching how wonderful a coach Donnie is to the kids and how they respond to him. He is amazing and of course I am not bias at all.
Whats for dinner tonite? That is a good question. What will everyone's tummys tolerate? Maybe a fabulous meal of ramen noodles and toast. Yum! Be still my beating taste buds.
Missing... That is always a good question in this house. But after we found the 2 pairs of missing shoes there is hope. I am missing my sleep since I slept on the couch last night w/Ian in case he woke up sick. Sleep that would be soooooo nice.

Sickness X 3 or 4
We have been hit by the fever bug. My friends daughter was sick around my younger 2 a week ago. She got sick at the end of working on cookie dough so we had no way of knowing. So on Sat Kolette came down w/it and all it is is a fever. She only admitted to being sick when it got to 103 or 104. She hates to admit to sickness. Yesterday evening Ian came out w/a fever after going to bed. He has had a fever the entire time but acts like normal just a warmer version. I picked up Connor from school today and he gave me his hard earned skittle. He said he didn't feel good. Now he is asleep on the couch and we are waiting for the motrin to take over. Thank heavens for motrin and tylenol. They have saved our lives. Donnie has complained of a stomaugh bug and I dearly hope he keeps it to himself. The fever junk this time is totally manageable I don't want to clean anything up. I just shampooed my carpets I don't want them needing a cleaning quite so soon.
