Future blackmail

This is too cute to resist. But in case he tries to be a onry teenager I have proper blackmail. Not to mention I got a full shot also. It doesn't show anything but decided not to post that one. But every night around 11pm he gets up and stumbles to the bathroom. However he is not ready to be awake so that is why he sits. I do need to thank him for that. Anyhow I have to wake him up 90% of the time to get him to go back to bed. He will even turn the water on to wash his hands and I watched him rub them together b/c he didn't realize that he hadn't put soap on them. At least he has a soft place to rest his head. Hehehe...

Connor's Flying Pie Party

Uncle Mac-Pimp guy, Me-Dreadlock Jamacian Mon, Kolette-Pink Flamingo(shocking right?), Ian-Moose, Corrin-Robin Hood, Connor-Lepruchan/Pizza, Giles-A Viking and Maya-Parisian(it so fit w/her outfit)
The kids and Buddy the Pizza guy

Connor had his birthday party on Saturday. His best friend was gone on his actual b-day so we waited a week. We didn't tell him where it was going to be just that is was in Boise. Anyhow we allowed him to have one friend and Corrin invited his sister w/Connor's permission. We took him to Flying Pie Pizza in Boise. They let you make your own pizza and we wore crazy hats. Connor was SO excited when we told him he got to make his own pizza. It was great!!! They got to name their pizza's too. Connor and Giles named theirs "360 Pizza". I have no idea why but they were throughly impressed w/themselves. I even wore dreadlocks mon!!!

Happy Birthday Connor!!!!

My wonderful boy is 7 today. Seems like just yesterday I was so excited to hear we were going to have him. For those of you who don't know how hard it was for me in the beginning to get pregnant. Connor is my miracle boy. We had to do fertility drugs and Artificial insemination to get him. He was actually a twin. We were thrilled! How perfect. We waited till our first ultrasound before we told anyone. I was still nervous since I had had a miscarriage between him and Corrin. But we told and at our 11 wk ultrasound the other baby had died. It was such a weird feeling to lose a baby while still being pregnant w/one. I was a wreck for the majority of my pregnancy. But from the moment he was in my arms it was such a great joy to see his perfect body. Love at first sight. From the very second I knew he was growing inside of me till this day I have been so very thankful. These are in backwards order and I will have to post another pic that is from this year but it wouldn't allow me to post more than these. This is a picture of my sweet boy a year ago. Funny thing is Connor really hasn't changed much in his face.
Peeing w/his brother how better to bond?
Believe it or not he had just kissed her before this was taken. He really does love babies and it was Kolette he had decided she needed a hat like him. What a boy!

He is 2 in this picture and that is fat baby Ian in the pouch. Now can I figure out how to get that match to light in the wind.

A year and a half in this one. He picked me flowers at a soccer game. Isn't he adoreable?
Life w/Connor is never dull that is for sure. He is sweet, onry, kind, mischievious, loyal the list goes on. But just yesterday Corrin got sick and he went up to her room and got as many of her stuffed animals as he could carry and brought them down for her. Then asked what else he could do for her. Today at school his best friend was gone so he saved a blue cupcake for him and told the other kids they couldn't have it since it was for Giles. He has a very big heart for a little body. He Loves w/all he has and I am thankful that he loves me and that I get the coveted title of Mom. Thank you God for letting me raise this wonderful boy!

Pajama party

Today Connor's class had a pajama party. Their class averaged 5 tubs of cookie dough being sold so their teacher went into the money machine. She used the money to let the kids pick out $10 worth of books out of the book order and they read books all day in their jammies.

Note to self: Boys are NEVER as excited about wearing jammies to school as girls. Had to actually call and find out if his best bud was wearing them or else he flat refused to. I also told him he was whether he wanted to or not. He took a pair of sweats to put over them for recess. Seriously get over it but I guess it is more of a boy thing. As I walked up to the school one of his classmates refused to get out of the car in his jammies. I had planned on wearing jammies when I went in to help but figured I would be put on the black list by Connor if I did. So I went fully dressed. Darn sounded like fun to me but I am a girl...

Anyhow it was also his buddy's b-day party as well today. Connor's teacher has all the kids say what they like about the birthday kid as well. So all the kids say s/thing except for 2 who were being poops. Most of the comments are short like "he is respectful, he is a good friend, he is a great soccer player, good at math..." So after most of the class has gone it is Connor's turn. Who by the way wanted to go first. Never at a loss for words this is what Connor had to say. "He is the bestest friend in the whole world. He kicks the soccer ball really far. He is good at passing not like Junior who is a ball hogger. (and one other thing I couldn't remember)" I just thought it was so cute that he put so much thought into it and truly his friend deserves every one of the compliments he's a great boy. Now I am not sure how many of the other kids or parents or teacher heard what Kenda and I heard about Junior but we were trying to hide our snickering.

Aren't kids so cute and honest? It is going to be a real bummer when he starts pointing out my flaws the list is VERY long. Thankfully he still loves me and also doesn't want green beans for dinner so he better be very nice:o)

Gooseeggs...

Ok, now for those of you who REALLY know me you won't be suprised by what I am about to tell you. However if I have ever fooled any of you into thinking I am a calm, non-neurotic, laid-back and polite kind of gal have I got a story to tell you.

Now this really isn't a huge deal but I manage to make it one. I have handled LOTS of illness' mainly Kolette's in my life as a mommy. However injuries aren't my thing. Thankfully my kids haven't had too many of those. Other than Kolette trying to knock out her front tooth at a year and a half which I was of course very calm about that has been our worst.

We were delivering some cookie dough that we had had a hard time finding the people home on Tues. Anyhow Connor's been really looking forward to it since Don has told him he made a marshmellow gun. Connor talked about it the entire time we are there till Don had scrounged his entire kitchen and couldn't find any marshmellows and went to the store. I pulled my car out of the drive so he could get out. I ran into s/one and talked to her for a minute and then I hear screaming. Connor had managed to get in a fight w/the concrete and a rock. He has a massive goose egg on his head( or at least in my mind it was massive) and it is sticking out of his head over his left eyebrow an inch. I tried to not freak out and of course I am doing a smashing job of it. I go in their house and Connie gets me a ice pack and I am holding it to his head as he asks me in a very panicked voice "What's a goose egg?" "Is s/thing stuck in my head?". I am trying to answer calmly apparantly I have rubbed off on the little hypocondriac.

I call the doctors office and it is 6:30 and demand the receptionist get me a nurse, not the nurse line so I can hear their message. I then tell her that I want her to physically get up and find me a nurse. She tries to tell me that they could be in rooms. I tell her in my super calm voice that I will wait till they get out of a room and that my son has a massive goose egg on his head. Amazingly my favorite nurse in the entire world answers and tells me that where he hit is the hardest part of the skull, if he isn't throwing up or unconscious he is fine. Watch him and give him some tylenol and call her on her cell if I have any problems. Then Don gets back and starts to shoot marshmellows and Connor while his wife is scolding him telling him that Connor is hurt. Major difference between men and women. But after 4 marshmellows Connor is laughing and trying to shoot them at Corrin. He is cured!

I told him he should make the story more interesting than falling and say he jumped on his best friend Giles back one too many times and Giles slugged him. If you knew Giles you would never believe that story. Connor is like the hyper Chiuawa(sp?) and Giles is like the calm Lab.

So tonite we are at the soccer game and Rebecca the wonderful nurse text messages me and asks about Connor. Can you beat that for sweetness.

Oh and of course Connor is just fine. Hard to believe any of my kids could be normal w/a mom like me!

A bit of comedy to make my day

This has been quite a week but this boy makes my day. This is how he plays slot cars. Sure doesn't look comfortable to me. I am just reflecting on my many blessing and he is definatly one of them! He makes me laugh w/his silly ways. He is such a kind friend and very thoughtful boy who makes friends w/everyone. I am thankful that he still wants to sit by me and hold my hand on the way to school. What a great boy!

Connor D

I couldn't get more than 5 pics to post to the last post. So here is Connor. I love these pics esp the one standing up it cute. It was a great day other than a bit of a chilly wind. But they were bribed w/tootsie pops at the end and candy is always a miracle worker. Next time Amy we will have Donnie in the pics as well.

I think I know the "F" and "S" word

So a continuation of earlier. I am on the phone relaying the conversation w/Ian earlier. Connor can hear me and says he knows the "S" word. He says it is "Shut up". I said it isn't a bad word it just isn't nice and it means I don't want to hear what you say. He then says I know the "F" word. He whispers "Is it Fart?"

Aren't innocent kids cute?

A House full of Geeks

One of the days I have been dreading has finally arrived. I am so not into Science fiction. After growing up w/Star Wars and having to be subject to it because of my brother I have been happy to be away from it. My sweet husband loves it and now Connor wants to watch it. Connor gets scared very easy so I didn't think this day would happen for awhile. But since he is in school and the other kids are all talking about it he wants to see it.

So yesterday he watched part of Star Wars and the rest today. He is currently watching The Empire Strikes Back. AHHHHH!!! I guess it is rather funny to hear Connor ask questions literally every minute and have to hear Donnie answer them all. Mainly he answers the same questions many times and new ones too. Corrin is watching it too. A bunch of geeks they are. I guess it could be worse it could be Star Trek. However I know that is coming but then I will literally be bald b/c I absolutely detest watching that!

After all these years of living in the supreme position of the BEST in Connor's eyes I am going to have to share. I have always asked him "Who's boy are you?" and he always says "Yours Mommy". Today he said both of ours. Daddy is good for video games and geek shows and I am good for loving I guess. Daddy deserves it he is rather great!

1st grade wisdom

Tonite as the kids were cleaning up and getting ready for bed; Ian said he had to go pee. Connor pipes up and says "You mean you need to empty your bladder?". They are learning about the human body right now. They have cut their bodies out and they are plastered on the walls in the hallway. They keep adding different parts like the heart, lungs, brain and of course the bladder. That Connor is a walking book of information. What am I going to do when he is ahead of both Ian & Kolette and he learns much more interesting info in health class??????
